Welcome readers and writers, pasta purveyors, podcasters, ARGists, and all the various creatures of the night, to the
VAULT iMAGINARY
VAULTi is a place for creators and appreciators of online horror to share their work, get feedback, build community, and find artists and projects we love. We want to develop an online horror scene where what you do counts more than who you know, where people’s first priority stops being money and goes back to the love of making shit. Most of all, we want to celebrate small artists and help new creators find their voice and their inspiration.
A few ground rules to keep VAULTi a good experience for everyone:
1) Don’t be a cunt. The VAULT has a zero tolerance policy for bigotry, harassment, bullying, and right-wing punditry.
2) This is an adult space. Some content here may not be appropriate for minors, for discussions of heavy topics including violence, suicide, sexuality, and abuse. Please be 18+ to join.
3) Stay on topic. If you spam, advertise, or repeatedly post to the wrong boards, you will probably get banned.
4) Read individual board rules before posting.
5) Respect your fellow community members. Give your honest opinion, but try to be kind and constructive. This is a space for horror artists to grow as a community and develop their craft. That being said,
6) No unsolicited edits. Do not offer to beta or edit for people who aren’t asking your advice.
7) Ask for help when you need it. This isn’t a strict rule, obviously, but never be afraid to ask for a sounding board, tips, reviews, whatever. But remember as well that if you ask for help, it’s on you to receive advice gracefully, even if you don’t agree.
8) If someone’s conduct makes you uncomfortable, reach out! We want to help you resolve conflicts, whether that means speaking to the user privately or through direct mediation.
9) No plagiarism. The only time you should be posting someone else’s work is if you have express permission to do so. This of course includes work posted to the VAULT itself- aside from stories in the Collaboration thread, you are the sole owner of all your writing.
