i watched this movie the other afternoon and i am completely obsessed. it's one of the most incompetently made movies i have ever seen, and every part of it is insane. it's obviously intended to be a vehicle for valeria lukyanova, aka the "human barbie" who had gotten some viral fame a few years before the movie came out, but i don't think the creators had an idea in mind other than 'valeria plays a creepy russian human doll.'
going into it, because i'm a person who assumes art will have themes and subtexts, i kind of assumed that the movie was going to be some kind of grimy sexploitation flick about satanic organ harvesting as a metaphor for sex trafficking. but actually it just is about satanic organ harvesting i guess? though you could be forgiven for not even understanding that much because of how incoherent the movie is. all people do is walk around the house, get stabbed, and go to sleep, in between dialogue like "I just want to lay here, like an atom or a molecule. I can't be anything else." and "I've had it Andy, I'm not living in a house that has strippers and hookers in it!" i have seen better physical acting in elementary school plays; nobody
sells a single impact, and when valeria's victims get stabbed they react
like they're being flicked on the nose. at one point during the climax the characters start screaming and completely blow their mics out and i almost started crying laughing.

this is a movie that looks bad, sounds bad, and seems like it smelled bad to make. 10/10 no notes
